Help
Quick answers
- Which devices run Mirasim?
- The desktop app runs on macOS (Apple Silicon or Intel, macOS 13 or later), Windows (10 1809 or later, x64/Arm64) and Linux (AppImage or .deb, x64/Arm64, Ubuntu 22.04+ or an equivalent glibc distribution). The phone app needs Android 8+ or iOS 15+ (TestFlight beta). A Linux server without a desktop can be attached with one command (chapter 12).
- Do I need my own keys?
- No. Each session runs either on your own accounts (agent subscriptions, API keys or local models) or on Mirasim's platform credits.
- How do programs in a space call models?
- Terminals, agents and scheduled tasks in the space already have
MIRASIM_API_BASEandMIRASIM_API_KEY; code reads them, and an app takes them as its Base URL and API Key. The owner or an admin first creates a key under Space settings › Space credit › API keys and makes it the default. New keys only work inside the space. Chapter 11 has the details. - Is Mirasim free?
- The workbench is free with your own accounts (agent subscriptions, API keys and local models), and so is the phone app. A team space on your own computer is also free; team spaces in our cloud are paid and come with credits on us. See the Pricing page (mirasim.ai/pricing).
- Can my team use it together?
- Yes, in a team space (5 collaborator seats each, plus up to 100 observers; write to support@mirasim.ai to add seats) or on your own computer attached to the cloud. Invite people by email. Chapters 10–12 cover it.
- Which agents does Mirasim run?
- Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Kimi Code, Qwen Code and others. They can run side by side, and a session can switch agents while keeping its conversation.
- Can several agents work one repository at once?
- Yes. Give each session its own worktree: each agent works on its own branch, and you decide how to merge.
- Is my code sent anywhere?
- To the model providers you use, and to Mirasim for turns on platform credits. Local models keep everything on your computer. Chapter 21 covers what is recorded and how to turn it off.
- Is evaluation always running?
- No. $eval is an explicit, opt-in skill; it runs locally when you invoke it.
- Can I use Claude Code or Codex exactly as I do today?
- Yes. Both keep their own terminal UI and their own sign-in.
- How do I verify a download?
- Every release publishes SHA256SUMS for all its downloads. Compare the checksum before you open the file.
Buying and credits
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Your computer | Free | Runs on your own accounts or API keys; no credits on us |
| Trial | $4.99 once, 7 days | 25 credits on us for every model; once per account. Afterwards the same space can become Basic — same size, no restart. Not refundable, does not renew. |
| Basic | $49 / 30 days | Linux · 2 cores · 4 GB RAM · 30 GB disk (expandable); 20 credits on us |
| Lite | $99 / 30 days | Linux · 4 cores · 8 GB RAM · 50 GB disk (expandable); 50 credits on us |
| Standard | $169 / 30 days | Linux · 8 cores · 16 GB RAM · 100 GB disk (expandable); 80 credits on us |
| Pro | $249 / 30 days | macOS · Apple silicon · 10 cores · 16 GB RAM; 120 credits on us |
- What are the plans?
- Free covers the whole local workbench on your own accounts or API keys. Collaboration gives your team a space, with the same features on every tier; Basic, Lite, Standard and Pro run in our cloud, one payment for 30 days, with credits on us. The table above has the numbers, from the same source as the page. The Pricing page (mirasim.ai/pricing) is the reference.
- What is the 7-day trial?
- One payment of $4.99 opens a trial space for 7 days, with 25 credits on us for every model. It is once per account, non-refundable and does not renew. When it ends you can turn that same space into Basic — same size, no restart. Within 14 days of the trial ending, your first paid order takes $4.99 off and doubles the first month's credits; starting another plan in that window counts too.
- Is it a subscription?
- No. A team space is one payment for 30 days and does not renew on its own; a token pack is a one-off purchase too. Nothing is charged again unless you buy again.
- How does renewing work?
- The owner and admins can renew the same space on the same plan from its card. A renewal adds 30 days, counted from the current end date when that is later, so renewing early costs nothing; a space can be paid up to 366 days ahead. Renewing does not change the plan. When a space ends it stops: renew within 14 days and it comes back; after that it is cleared.
- Do prices include tax?
- No. Sales tax, VAT or GST for your location is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay; in the US it depends on your state.
- Can I be charged more than the price?
- No. The price you see at checkout is the whole charge: nothing is metered on top and no bill arrives later. When credits run low, you decide whether to buy a token pack.
- What is a credit?
- 1 credit is $1 of model use at API list prices, across every model. Credits on us and token packs are counted in credits; what you pay is in US dollars.
- What is a token pack?
- Credits you buy on their own, on the Pricing page, from $10; right now $1 buys 2 credits. Free and Collaboration can both buy them, and they work on your computer and in team spaces.
- Do credits expire?
- Your personal credits have an end date, shown on the account page. A token pack bought while you still have credits is added to them and keeps that date; bought when you have none, it starts 30 days. Credits moved into a team space do not expire.
- Who gets the credits that come with a space?
- They go straight into the space credit when the space is ready, so everyone in the space can use them right away. A token pack bought with the space goes to the owner's personal credits. Chapter 11 has the details.
- How does the launch offer work?
- The first 200 paid spaces get double credits at the same price, and so does the first payment after a trial: Basic 40 credits, Lite 100 credits, Standard 160 credits and Pro 240 credits instead of 20 credits, 50 credits, 80 credits and 120 credits. Places go in order of payment; the Pricing page shows how many are left, and the page after payment says what this space received. The two don't add up, and the price does not change either way.
- What if I run out of credits?
- Buy a token pack, or switch the session to your own Claude Code, Codex or API account, which spends no platform credits. Chapter 14 covers switching.
- Where do I see my balance and payments?
- On the website's account page: Overview shows your credits and their end date, Payments lists every payment. In the app, the account card at the bottom left › Credits.
- Can I buy as a company?
- Enter your company details and tax ID at checkout. Where it applies, this makes the purchase VAT-exempt, and the details appear on the invoice. For several spaces, a contract or one invoice, write to us about Enterprise.
- Will prices change?
- They may. You pay the price on the Pricing page when you order; a change never touches the 30 days you have already paid for.
Seats, disk and other tiers
- We need more collaborator seats
- Each space has 5 collaborator seats (the owner takes none). Extra seats are $30 per person a month on every tier; write to support@mirasim.ai to add them. Observers take no seat.
- Can we add disk?
- On the Linux tiers, yes. Basic comes with 30 GB, Lite with 50 GB and Standard with 100 GB; each extra 50 GB is $10 a month. Write to support@mirasim.ai to add it. Disk can be added, not removed.
- We want a different tier
- Start a space on that tier: account page › Spaces & seats › Start another space. If you only need more credits, you do not need another tier; buy a token pack.
- We need several spaces
- Each space is its own order. For a contract or one invoice across them, write to us about Enterprise.
When a space ends
- Do I need to cancel?
- No. An order covers 30 days and nothing is charged after that.
- Where do I see how long is left?
- Account page › Spaces & seats shows each space's days left and end date.
- What happens when it ends?
- The space stops, and stays stopped for 14 days: renew within that window and it picks up where it left off. After the 14 days it is cleared, along with any credit moved into it; push the code you want to keep to a remote repository first. Your own Claude Code, Codex, API and local-model accounts keep working, and your personal credits stay usable until their own end date.
- We want to keep going
- Renew the same space from its card on the account page: 30 more days on the same plan, counted from the current end date. The renewal row above has the details.
- The tier on our own computer
- It is free and has no end date. The space is offline while the computer is off.
Refunds
- Do you give refunds?
- Payments are non-refundable except as stated in the Terms of Service or required by law. There is no self-serve refund button — a person reads and decides every request.
- When is a refund usually granted?
- If the payment is less than 14 days old and you have not used what it bought, we usually refund it. Anything else is decided case by case.
- How do I ask?
- Sign in to the website with the account that paid. On the account page, in Need a hand?, choose Write to us, pick A refund and the order, and tell us what happened. We reply to your account email within two business days.
- What is not refunded
- Credits already used; the 30 days of a space you have already been using; and any payment you have disputed with your bank.
- How long does a refund take?
- It goes back in full to the card that paid; banks usually post it within 5 to 10 business days.
- I'm in the EU or UK — do I get 14 days?
- You have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a digital service purchase. If you asked for immediate access at checkout, that right ends when the service starts; where it still applies, a refund is reduced in proportion to what you used.
- Should I dispute the charge with my bank?
- Please contact us first. While a dispute is open we cannot refund — the money is held in the dispute process — and the account may be suspended until it closes.
Payments and invoices
- How can I pay?
- Purchases on the website take credit and debit cards. Cards are held by the payment provider; we never see or store the full number.
- What appears on my bank statement?
- Charges appear as MIRASIM. The company behind Mirasim is Dadao, incorporated in Delaware, and that name may appear on invoices.
- A payment did not finish
- Unfinished orders are under Payments on the account page; Finish paying picks it up where you left off.
- Receipts and invoices
- Every payment sends a receipt email, and Payments on the account page lists each order with its number. For an invoice or a company name on it, choose A charge in Need a hand? on the account page and write to us.
Codes and free time
- My account has free time on a plan. What happens when it ends?
- Nothing is charged automatically. We email you 14 days and again 3 days before it ends; if you do nothing, the account returns to Free and your own accounts keep working. Buy a token pack or a Collaboration plan whenever you want platform credits back.
- Where do I redeem a code?
- On the account page under Your licence codes, choose Redeem now; or in the app, on its account page.
Common issues
- The app will not open after downloading
On first launch, macOS asks you to confirm opening an app from the internet: right-click the app and choose Open once. If the download looks damaged, download it again and check it against SHA256SUMS before opening it.
- An agent cannot find git, gh or docker
Open Plugins → CLI. It lists the tools on PATH and whether each one is signed in.
- A session went quiet
The session shows why: quiet for N seconds, a named tool still running, waiting for the model, or the process only alive. A stalled session resumes when you send a message.
- Screenshots or screen analysis do not work
On macOS these need Screen Recording, and reaching Desktop or Downloads needs Full Disk Access. Open the Permissions page in Settings, which walks you through each one and can re-check them.
- A Git operation refused to run
The panel names the situation (local changes would be overwritten, diverged branches, no upstream, the remote is ahead, an unfinished merge, refused credentials) and offers an action that resolves it, such as stash-and-pull or pull-with-rebase. Nothing in the repository has changed at that point.
- Two sessions produced conflicting changes
If they ran in separate worktrees, nothing is lost: merge the better one, then rebase or regenerate the other on top of it.
- A worktree will not delete
Git refuses to remove a worktree that has uncommitted changes. Commit or discard them, then delete the session and its worktree together.
- Quota ran out mid-task
Switch the session's route: to your own account, or to Mirasim's platform credits if you still have some. The two routes never fall back to each other automatically. Turns that ran on your own account carry an "Own" tag in the transcript.
- A file I had open changed underneath me
Usually an agent wrote to it. The editor asks whether to reload from disk or keep your version. Save or close an edited file before restoring its Git changes.
- ui-cli cannot reach the app
Use --port 4970 for the installed app, or run without --port to start a private throwaway server for that one command.
- An MCP server's tools never show up
Run its health check. For connectors, run validate to see the tool count or the error; if the token has expired, authorize with OAuth again.
- A schedule did not run
Schedules fire on that host's clock while Mirasim is running; missed fires are skipped, not replayed. The minimum interval is 10 minutes. Check the schedule's run history, and use Run now to test it.
- I cannot reach a team space from China
Team spaces are not yet available in mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau, and connections from networks there are refused. The local workbench and the phone app keep working.
- A team space window keeps reconnecting
Work in the team space keeps running while you are disconnected. The window counts down to its next retry; Reconnect tries at once. If it never comes back and the space shows Offline under All spaces, the space itself is unreachable.
- I cannot send in someone else's session
Sessions in a team space or on a shared computer are private to their creator until shared. Use “Fork for me” to carry on in your own copy, or ask the creator to “Share with members”. If someone “is using this session”, wait for their turn to end.
- “Turn had already ended” in a team space
The agent tried to continue after its turn ended, and that call was not sent. Send a message in the session and it carries on.
- Card was declined
The usual cause is the issuing bank blocking an online or international charge rather than anything wrong with the card. Check the number, expiry, CVC and billing address and try again, or try another card; an unfinished order picks up from Finish paying under Payments on the account page. If it still fails, ask the bank to enable online and international charges for the card.
- Paid, but the space or credits did not show up
A team space is usually ready within a minute of payment; if it takes longer, we email you when it is ready, and it appears under All spaces when you sign in to Mirasim with the same account. Credits can take a minute to show — reopen the account page. If nothing arrives, choose Paid, not applied in Need a hand? on the account page.
If your account gets limited
If your account is limited or a request is refused, send an appeal from the app. A person reviews it.
- Open the Version page
Click the account card at the bottom left, then Version, then Send feedback in the last row.
- Switch the type to Appeal
Use the switch at the top of the dialog. You need to be signed in.
- Fill in the form and send
Fill in the fields marked *, then click Submit appeal.
- The error, pasted verbatim.
- When it started, and what the account is normally used for.
- Three yes/no questions: is the account shared with other people, are calls driven by a script or batch job, is the traffic forwarded to a third party.
- Where to reach you. It defaults to your login email and can be changed.
You can send one appeal per account every 30 minutes. If one is already in the queue, the reply shows its id and there is no need to send another. The outcome goes to the contact you left on the form.
Getting help
Questions and bug reports go to the contact address in the footer. Include the workspace, what you asked the agent to do, and what it did instead; if you can, export the round that went wrong and attach it.
